At the beginning of the month, I posted an update on House race rankings, which is available here: http://www.dailykos.com/.... Today, the National Journal's rankings, prepared by Editor-in-Chief Chuck Todd and Hotline Editor Josh Kraushaar, came out. I figured I would post a comparison of our ratings and a composite. We didn't differ too much. I listed 51 GOP seats and 14 Dem seats as "competitive"--better than third tier. NJ just printed a top 50 (39 GOP seats and 11 Dem seats). All of the NJ top 50 were among the 65 total races I listed as competitive. Further, we agree on the top 14 GOP seats and the top 9 Dem seats, just in different orders. Since that installation, polling data has come out to make me move one more GOP seat into the "competitive" category--WY-AL.
